Eric and I have always been old souls when it comes to travel. Our honeymoon is proof of that. When you think of a honeymoon destination, it probably involves an exotic beach or romantic ski lodge or edgy places like Vegas. You don’t picture a minivan driving around New Hampshire hunting for covered bridges. Listening to the greatest hits by Nat King Cole. Staying at a bed & breakfast whose owners were friends with Bob Hope and every fabric & wall covering is pink and peach floral. So like I said…old souls.
Sixteen years ago, Eric and I glimpsed Vermont over the treeline while driving through New Hampshire on our honeymoon. We made a promise that someday we’d return to visit the neighboring state. It took longer than I expected, but we finally made that trip in early September last year. Turns out, it was definitely worth the wait!
